The G & T Co-ordinator
will work with schools to utilise data, backed by local knowledge, to
assess the needs of the schools and the students. Links with CfBT's G
& T strategy group will be sustained in order to share good practice.
Work in the strand will ensure:
all schools identify co-ordinators,
allocate time for the work and encourage staff to attend the national
training
the Cluster G & T Co-ordinator
manages the co-ordinators in schools, ensuring that the work is embedded
in school practice
policies are updated and appropriate
identification procedures are utilised
enrichment activities are available
for students within / across schools
innovative programmes are trialled
and then developed and shared as appropriate
transition projects will form
a significant part of the work
schools utilise the latest technology
in order to raise standards of learning and teaching
family learning activity will
support the focused work, in order to raise aspiration and, subsequently,
attainment
other strand activities will
contribute towards the work with G & T students
