Candidates for the course in Classroom and Social Skills are generally those young people in school who constantly find themselves in trouble for what they might consider to be justifiable reasons.
This is a student who may be disorganised, forgetting homework, class books and pens etc. or one that is often late to class, who persistently shouts out, who talks throughout the lessons or makes inappropriate comments to staff or to other pupils.
Such an individual is seeking and needing attention, often looking for the approval of peers through negative behaviour choices but sometimes finding himself/herself isolated precisely because of this. |
