Achieving High Hopes

Throughout the year Termites and X-L-Ants street dance groups choreograph, learn and rehearse various dance pieces for fun, and to perform at local events.

During the summer holidays, a small group took part in the Hastings Carnival where they had chance to dance around the town in front of thousands of people. Although it was a hot day and quite tiring, everyone enjoyed taking part and had a great experience.

If you are in year 4 or above and are interested in street dance then you can join at any time. All sessions and chances to perform are free. For more information on how to join one of these groups contact Tammy, Tina or Alex at the Cluster.

Although it was a very hot day, it was great fun dancing in the roads.

I enjoyed being able to dance with my friends in front of an audience. All the rehearsing really paid off.

The best bit was when I saw my friends watching, it made me proud.
